I Am Woman ( M)
The story of 1970s musician and activist Helen Reddy. Helen's incredible story, which begins when she arrived in New York in 1966 with a three-year-old daughter in tow, a single suitcase and just $230 in her pocket. Within weeks she was broke, but her determination to make it in the US wouldn't fade.

Just five years later, she was an international star thanks to her anthem hit I Am Woman, which galvanised an entire generation of women – and their descendants – to fight for change.

"Cobham-Hervey is utterly captivating every moment she’s on screen. “I Am Woman” proves to be an incredibly moving film about the definitive work of Reddy’s career and the life of its own the song took on as an anthem of empowerment that’s not about the plight of being a woman but the power in being one." - Los Angeles Times

"Cobham-Hervey is compelling and nuanced in conveying Reddy's vulnerability and resolve, and she has an immense stage presence in some wonderful musical scenes." - Sydney Morning Herald
